The Avalon Club

The staff were super easy to deal with, accommodating, professional, and respectful. The place was clean at all hours, and the rooms were spacious with very comfy beds. I had a great stay, with restaurants and bars nearby, and it was a pleasant short walk to the beach and everything else once I'd parked the car. This is the greatest hotel ever! I booked one night and ended up staying two more. I'll be back. Thank you, Avalon club hotel.

We had such a great stay, and the front desk was flexible enough to let us stay the following day and keep using the amenities. Everything was super clean. There’s a bar on the fifth floor with an amazing sunset view, and restaurants and shops are close by. We’ll be back!

The staff were kind, and I appreciated how the manager handled things when problems came up. After the second toilet issue wasn’t fixed, she upgraded us to a two-bedroom unit. Then the dishwasher had trouble too, and she let us get a refund for the last night, waived some charges, and helped us move to Hyatt Regency, where we finally had a great vacation memory. The staff and manager did their best, but I still wouldn’t recommend this place. We were a family of four with two teenagers, staying December 15-19. I chose this hotel for the family, but regretted it. The area and hallway felt sketchy, and despite the Expedia reviews, it didn’t feel like a resort. It’s a small condo, and the beach is a two-minute walk away, so it isn’t really beachfront. The sofa bed was awful to sleep on, the sheets didn’t feel fresh, and it seemed suitable for a toddler at best. The second toilet already had a problem when we checked in, and there was only one person working in the building when I asked for help. The pool is tiny, wasn’t heated for two days, and was still much too cold after that. I ended up catching a cold. I didn’t feel like I was on vacation and regret staying all four nights. I should have left the next day. Management felt poor and cheap.

Having beach access right behind the hotel was a big plus, and the rooftop pool and bar were nice too. You can rent beach chairs, umbrellas, and toys. The front desk staff were helpful and quick to respond. Our room was much roomier than expected, basically an apartment with a full kitchen, washer and dryer, one and a half baths, and a balcony. It was lovely, and we’re definitely staying again.
