Days Inn by Wyndham Clearwater/Gulf to Bay

The staff were extremely kind and hospitable, and we'd come back after staying several days. The kids enjoyed the pool and continental breakfast, and it was nice to have a small kitchen in the room. Our room was large with comfortable beds and a big TV, though channel choices were limited. The rooms look a bit dated, at least the flooring, which still has hotel carpeting. The hotel is on a busy highway, so be ready for traffic.

The pool heater was said to be broken when I checked in, with a promise it would be fixed the next day. I stayed four nights, and it was never fixed. That really put a damper on our vacation. The rooms were decent, the breakfast had good options, but the water smelled like sewer water. This place might be okay for a solo business traveler who won't spend much time in the room. If you have kids, find somewhere else.

We mostly came back at night and spent the days out enjoying our trip, and checkout was smooth and easy. It was a pleasant, budget-friendly stay, and as a couple we had no major issues. The main thing that needs fixing is the electrical sockets, since adapters tend to fall out. You get what you pay for. If you want a budget option, go ahead and book. As a business owner, I understand how hard it is to provide a five-star experience with lower prices and margins.

Days Inn felt safe, clean, and comfortable, and the staff were excellent. Amy especially treated me with kindness when I was going through a rough time. After a corporation bought the complex where I'd rented for 20 years, I lost my home and had no family I could stay with. I was searching for a room, and most motels I found were either in bad parts of town, overpriced, or rude. I first stayed here for two nights, then came back for two more. If you want clean rooms and to feel valued, the service here was great.
