Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott St Petersburg Clearwater

Getting to the hotel takes a drive down a service road, and Google Maps may not route you that way. There’s also a racetrack nearby, so you’ll hear it until about 11 PM. The staff greeted us quickly, got us our keys, made sure we were set up, and gave us a couple of bottles of water. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The TV was smaller than at other Fairfield locations, and the remote was tricky to use. Breakfast was adequate, though I wish they’d brown the sausage a little more.

The location is decent and the service was okay, but the rooms and hotel need serious work. There was a moldy smell when I arrived, the bathroom wasn’t very clean, and a lamp looked old and damaged. I’ve stayed at many Marriott International properties, and this one fell short of the usual standards. I hope they improve the maintenance and cleanliness.

I came in around 3 AM needing a room, and there were rooms available. Denise helped me get set up with my membership and a really good discount. She was polite, nice, and amazing. At that hour, it can be hard even to rent a room, and a lot of the time the person at the desk isn’t very friendly, but Denise was great. The rooms are clean, nice, quiet, and amazing. I highly recommend this motel and will definitely be a repeat customer. If you’re in the area, try the Fairfield. If you’re lucky enough to get Denise, she’ll take care of you and you’ll be completely satisfied.

Breakfast was good, with plenty to choose from, as usual for Marriott hotels. The front desk lady was very welcoming and professional. My family and I stayed just after New Year’s in 2026, and the stay was good overall. Unfortunately, our room had a slight musty smell and felt outdated.
