The Abernathy of Clemson

Breakfast was a real highlight, with welcoming, attentive staff who made sure we were looked after each morning. Housekeeping was outstanding too. The rooms were exceptionally clean when we arrived and stayed that way, even with how much coffee we drank while up late dealing with work and family matters. During a very stressful week at the Abernathy Hotel, Cheryl greeted us warmly, helped us settle into the right room for our needs, and stayed a friendly, reassuring presence who lifted our spirits. Every interaction showed care, professionalism, and attention to detail. We’re grateful for how kind and genuinely caring the staff were. Five stars, and we expect to return in the coming months. Highly recommend.

Really enjoyed the stay. It was very clean, and the staff were so helpful. Devon helped me check in, thank you! The young bartender was sweet and kind, and served me with pleasure. Highly recommend!

I look forward to staying here every year for the dog show. They give the dogs treats and a bandana, and the hotel’s in a great location. The rooms are huge, with a nicely equipped kitchen, a comfy bed, and a huge bathroom. Love this hotel, five stars all the way. Can’t wait to come back.

Abbi and Barbara arranged my stay so I could surprise my daughter for a special event at the hotel, and they made sure every detail went smoothly and felt personal. The staff really care about the guest experience and checked that I was having a good stay. I’m a tennis athlete parent, and my room looked out over the tennis courts. I don’t know if the staff planned that, but it was comforting to see the courts and hear the teams practicing. Even the woman running breakfast chatted with me and the other parents, making it feel like we were one big family. The rooms were beautiful and exceeded my expectations. The location is great too, right across from athletics, within walking distance of College Avenue, and close to the students’ dorms. The Abernathy is truly a Clemson gem! 💎
