Hampton Inn & Suites Clermont

Miss Wandy was the lovely night auditor who checked us in. We told her the horror story of coming from the hotel down the street, and she listened wholeheartedly and made sure our stay here was NOTHING like the last one. She's really good at her job and a great person. Glad we got to meet her :)

There were eight of us traveling, and after the hotel we'd booked ran out of rooms, we had to find somewhere else. Wandy was eager to help and so passionate and patient with us. Her customer service was excellent. The hotel looked nice and clean, with free breakfast and parking close to retail.

The nature here is beautiful and unlike what I'd expect from Florida, with stunning scenery, a somewhat elevated location, and very pleasant weather. I only came here to sleep, but enjoyed the stay as much as I enjoy traveling abroad. The hotel itself is beautiful as usual, much like other hotels of this name, except the pool is in a slightly different location.

We stayed here during a bicycle ride across FL. Check-in was easy, and the room, bed, and breakfast were what we expected. This is our go-to hotel chain, even though we never seem to earn enough stays for rewards, and we'd stay again. As we were leaving, I mentioned that the floors and carpet felt sticky, as if the cleaning product might leave a film that wasn't fully removed. I wasn't complaining, since it may just be residue, but thought someone should know the carpets need a thorough cleaning.
