Clarion Inn Cleveland near University

Gibby at the front desk was so kind and helpful every time I saw her, and she really made the stay for me. The rooms and even the lobby were kept very clean, and the price felt great for what you get. I was glad I picked this hotel in Cleveland. They allow up to two dogs under 25 pounds, for $15 per dog each night. The laundry only had cold water, though, which was a downside. I was leaning toward four stars, but Gibby earned the extra one. Thank you! 🙏😊

Alex at the Clarion Inn made a big difference during my stay in Cleveland, TN. He helped with last-minute arrangements, shared thoughtful local suggestions, and was always greeting people with a real smile. The staff were warm and professional, and the spotless lobby felt welcoming from the moment I arrived. My room was comfortable, clean, and well stocked. Breakfast and the pool were both great, and the hotel was well placed for exploring the area while still feeling peaceful. I’d happily stay here again, and if you meet Alex, you’ll understand why guests appreciate the service.

The desk agent seemed to know this was a recurring issue and brushed me off when I tried to explain it politely. In the room, a huge roach kept crawling just out of reach, and the lamps were yellowed and sticky with cigarette tar. The place advertises non-smoking rooms, but it felt like fresh paint had just gone over old, untreated smoky walls. Once I got through the breathing and air quality problem, the roach was impossible to ignore. To me, this is a dirty motel with a new name and a coat of paint. If you have allergies or can’t stand roaches, skip it.

The staff were friendly and really accommodating, and the rooms were clean, spacious, and great.
