We were driving from Florida to Michigan and stayed one night. It was very inexpensive and did exactly what we needed: gave us a place to sleep. The room was incredibly clean, with no carpet and very little furniture. Being close to I 75 meant some road noise, but we felt completely safe. The husband and wife who checked us in were very nice. This is one of the few hotel tubs I’d actually take a bath in instead of just a quick shower.

This place sucks. I have photos of mold in the rooms, and we never had toilets or towels. They kept two of our deposits even though we had proof we left the room as it was when we arrived. We’ll never stay here again. Literally every other hotel around this Motel 6 is better.

The rooms in the “300s” were awful: dilapidated, smelly, dimly lit, with foam blankets. Our last room had black mold in the bathroom and a musty smell every time we entered. There’s a huge difference in quality between one group of rooms and another. At the start of our six or eight weeks here, we were in freshly painted, nicely remodeled rooms. We rented by the week for a better rate, first through a third party. The manager said he could offer a better deal and save us from checking out, packing, and checking back in each week, but there was a fee. Every “kindness” came with a price, so I declined and kept checking in and out weekly. Then my husband was chastised for using towels and getting them “too dirty.” They kept two of our $60 deposits, for reasons they still haven’t proven. I inventory every room before and after so I can back up what I say. A couple of weeks before we finally checked out, we were moved to the “300s.” When I raised my concerns at checkout, the manager talked over me relentlessly, accused me of ruining two blankets, and said I should have paid a $100 security deposit each time. But the lobby marketing and online listing both state $60 per stay. He must have been upset he didn’t get to swindle us out of that extra $80. I stayed calm, said I expected my $60 back because I’d left the room spotless with the bed made, and told him I’d report the business to the Better Business Bureau and health department if it wasn’t returned within the advertised 5-7 business days. Those 5-7 business days passed. I filed complaints with both the BBB and health department and included photos. I’ve worked in hospitality, and your word matters more than anything. I can’t close these doors, but I’ll tell anyone in Cleveland and beyond who asks where to stay: never Motel 6 of Cleveland. Shame on you. I’ve never been so let down by a hotel. My family and I were looking for a forever home in the Cleveland area, and the people running this Motel 6 seemed kind and honest at first.

To me, this is Cleveland’s best motel. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and spacious, and it’s a quiet place without worries. Staff are friendly and helpful. I’d suggest it to anyone, any day.

I needed an accessible room, and appreciated the grab bars all around the tub and shower and along the wall by the toilet. They even provided a shower chair. The room was super clean and the bed comfortable. Everyone was so pleasant, friendly, and helpful, from check-in and housekeeping to the owners. They started my day with a bright smile and wishes for safe travels. I’ll definitely stay here again when I pass through.
