The location worked especially well for me without a car. Heinen’s, a bus stop, gyms, restaurants, Playhouse Square, and even the stadium are within walking distance, and Marble Room is right in the building. The residents seem to be young professionals, and it’s generally quiet, with no disruptive neighbors or parties. It’s pet friendly, too. I chose The Garfield over a few nearby downtown buildings because the units had fresh remodels and nice finishes. The apartments are newly updated, and the amenities are clean and current. The staff are friendly and ready to help, especially Diana and Robert. Robert has lots of ideas for places to see and things to do if you’re new to town. I’m happy with my choice to live here. The current management has clearly worked hard to improve things from the past, so I’d set aside the older negative reviews.

I’ve only been here a week, but I’m already glad I ended up at The Garfield. After a really bad situation at my last apartment, I went through a long, tiring search, and several nearby properties wasted my time. Meeting Diana and the rest of the staff was such a good change. The building is right in busy downtown, but still feels like a small community. It’s modern, the community rooms are great, and it’s quiet and peaceful. People greet you, remember you, and are always willing to help. I’m looking forward to spending the next few years here. Thanks!
The elevator and door problems over the past year haven’t been ideal, though I can see they’re trying to get them fixed as best they can. Diana, the property manager, is always kind and helpful, and having her around has made living at The Garfield much better.
The garage being across the street wasn’t a deal-breaker for us. The neighborhood was quiet during our time there, with only the occasional sound of someone in the hallway and normal neighbors. For the price, we thought it was a great deal: modern decor and amenities, plus plenty of room. Other downtown places seemed to offer older apartments for less or smaller newer ones for more. My husband and I lived here for three years and moved out about a month ago when we relocated to another city. The staff were great and very attentive, and questions or maintenance issues were usually answered within a day or so. Keep up the good work!
We spent three years at The Garfield, then moved again for work. Being downtown, with almost everything accessible on foot, was great. The leasing team and concierge were 10/10 from move-in through move-out, and Diana is a real gem. I’d recommend it to anyone moving to the Cleveland area.
