Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Clewiston by IHG

We’d stay here again. Ava (spelling) was awesome at the front desk, the rooms were spotless, and both the hot tub and breakfast were great. I especially loved the bacon at the HIE breakfast buffet! The mattress was just okay. I’m not much of a foam mattress person and prefer springs. The property is in good shape, not too old and not brand new either.

The bed is soft enough to keep you asleep past your alarm, and the window shade makes the room dark during the day, which I really liked. Check-in was easy, though a deposit was required. The staff were friendly, and there’s complimentary breakfast from 6:30-9:30. No complaints. They have no-smoking rooms, and early check-in and late checkout are available for reward members.

I’ve spent at least 45 weeks a year in hotels, and this is by far the best IHG property I’ve stayed in. Several colleagues and I started coming regularly at the beginning of September after a new acquisition in the area. The staff here are the most accommodating hotel team I’ve encountered. Every front desk employee remembers me and my name from one visit to the next. They pay close attention to my preferences and always check back if I mention anything I don’t love about my stay. I could keep going about all the positives at this small hotel in Clewiston Florida!

The staff greet you like you’re coming home, and Erica, yes, I mean you. Management is gracious and pays attention to every detail. The place is spotless, has top of the line security, and serves a great breakfast. It’s one of IHG’s hidden jewels. If you’re taking the Sugar Express or coming for one of the many local festivals, this is where you want to stay. There’s a great family restaurant within walking distance, plus fast food if you just want to grab something and collapse.
