Hampton Inn Clifton Park

The staff were friendly and helpful, and they let us check out late for free. I also got to use their meeting room for work Zoom calls. Parking was easy, with restaurants and stores nearby, and the NY Thruway was easy to reach. It's a comfortable, clean mid-level hotel with a nice pool, hot tub and fitness center. The included hot breakfast was delicious.

I wanted this place to be good, but I can't recommend staying here. I've stayed in plenty of hotels for work and vacations, and this one needs remodeling. The common breakfast area looked nice, but signs of wear showed around the property when I looked closely. After finding toenail clippings beside the bed when we got back exhausted from a concert at SPAC, I started questioning the cleaning. All three rooms had stained bathtubs, and I hadn't noticed how worn the place was until then. The first room had a bed that sank when you sat on it. In the second, the toilet and tub were stained, so we moved to a third. The stains there were less severe, but still there. The desk worker who checked us in was sympathetic and friendly, as were the other staff members, though the woman on the morning shift seemed cold and unconcerned when I told her about the stay. I feel bad because I can see potential here, but I can't recommend it in good faith. Reviews of nearby businesses also made me think customer service isn't well practiced in the area.

My wife, our dogs and I had a nice stay. The lobby was clean and decorated for the holidays, the staff were friendly, and there was a pool with a jacuzzi.

A day of missed connections and lost luggage meant flying into Philadelphia and driving to Clifton Park Hampton. Luke at the front desk gave us top-notch service, and the rooms were great. Siobhan was extremely helpful in the morning. They turned a rough day around, and this will be our regular place when we visit family nearby.
