Motel 6 Everett, WA - South

The receptionists are consistently friendly, kind, and helpful, but the rooms are really dirty. The housekeepers don't speak much English and don't clean the rooms well. There's often a crowd in the parking lot and laundry room smoking and dealing drugs. You see favoritism all the time, and it shouldn't be allowed. The motel needs to close or get management that cares about the community and people's well-being.

Kristina at the front desk has been great. If you tell her what you need, she gets it handled above standard, and check-in and extensions are quick and easy with her. She's never rude or negative, and I've seen her treat other guests just as pleasantly. The other employees also seem nice and helpful. The rooms are clean, nothing's broken, and the walls aren't thin. I never hear the rooms beside me. The location and the people it attracts may be issues, though I don't think they're really the hotel's fault. Security seems like a pointless expense: I haven't seen them say anything to the riffraff on the stairs or in the walkways. Great value otherwise.

That uneasy feeling started in the parking lot, and I should've trusted it. The place didn't look like the online pictures, and I couldn't tell if the work going on was renovation or looting. There were paint sprayers, extension cords, and furniture blocking the upper floor walkway. We were given a freshly painted room, and the heavy VOCs immediately burned our lungs and throats. The front desk barely showed us where the room was and didn't warn us about the chemical smell. The price doesn't match the quality at all. We know what to expect from a Motel 6, but this place is F tier. No idea how it's still legally operating. TLDR, the place has the ick.

Everyone at this Motel 6 was friendly, and the place was very clean. I especially want to recognize Kristina, one of the best hotel employees I've met across many stays. She had a great attitude and smile, and my family and I appreciated that. Great experience.
