We needed a kitchenette for a longer stay in the area and didn't have many options, but I wouldn't recommend this hotel even for one night. The owners were rude and unwelcoming, and the rates may be good, but the service was horrible. Our room was dirty and smelled bad, with dead bugs around and an unclean bathtub. Some sheets had holes in them. They didn't have enough towels to bring fresh ones when the place was busy, so the cleaning lady had to take ours away, wash and dry them, and return them several times. Pigeons were living inside the a/c unit outside our second-floor room, making noise all night and early in the morning. They may have been why the room smelled. There's also a registered sex offender living there.

The front desk staff were great, but I slipped on the icy walkway in the morning and hurt myself. It hadn't been salted, though staff had been sliding around outside for fun. The place is very run down from the outside. The rooms seem to have been painted recently and the walls are in good shape, but the furniture and fixtures look old and thrift-store quality. Toiletries were just shampoo packets, with no hand or body soap.

I was there eight years ago, and the place was pretty dingy. When I asked a cop if it was a good place, he said, “haven't been called there this week.” I left the next morning for the Days Inn. After reading the reviews now, I'm not surprised. You'd be better off sleeping in a field a few miles down the road.

I wouldn't stay at the Glancy Motel again, and I'd steer others away too. There are cheaper places in town that have to be better. The room was filthy: when I pulled back the comforter, the sheets had fresh blood, stains, and cigarette holes, and live cockroaches were in the bathroom. I was up all night because of noises I thought might be gunshots. Cars kept coming and going, with some leaving quickly and others left running. At 8:30 in the morning, nobody was there when I went to return the key. It was a horrible stay.

For a short night of sleep, the room worked well and was very clean. They were accommodating with all our pets, too. There was no hot water, though, and the tub was really slippery.
