The location is great and it's easy to get around. Most of the rooms are updated and comfortable, and the front desk staff, a sweet and helpful young family, make the place feel like a small-town family-run spot. They were amazing, and the privacy was great too. I stayed for several weeks and had a few issues that could have been worked out easily. Since the trouble meant switching rooms and paying for multiple weeks, I asked the owner to comp my final night. He said no. I didn't think my request was unreasonable and feel it could easily have been granted. They did offer me some special privileges, though.

The location by the shore was lovely for relaxing, and the motel was so peaceful at night. My bed was really comfortable, and the updated room was spotless. The staff were kind and caring, and helped me feel at home as soon as I arrived. It felt like a cozy home more than a motel. I had a fantastic stay at Village Motel and would recommend it for a relaxing getaway with such welcoming service.

I couldn't get past the stale cigarette smell in the room. I was there for just two nights, so I put up with it, but I'll stay somewhere else next time. There were two queen beds even though I said yes when asked if I wanted the king I'd paid for. The curtains also wouldn't close all the way. At check-in the door was locked, and the woman pointed through the window for me to turn the knob. Once she opened it, she didn't greet me and seemed irritated. She handed me keys and said “15,” without explaining where the unit was or which way to go. All the units are outdoors.

For a one-night stay, this was very clean and comfortable enough, and the price was great value. The building isn't new and the room is no-frills, but it was still well maintained and very clean.
