The wine country setting is lovely, but the campground itself feels badly neglected. The grass looks like it hasn’t been cut in months, and leaves are left all over the sites. They’re also tiny, with no picnic table and barely enough room for two chairs. There’s really no pride of ownership here.

We ended up missing the vineyards we’d planned to visit because we couldn’t get settled here. We’d reserved a pull-through, but none was available. They showed us two other spots: one was too small for our rig, and the other had large trees hanging over the RV pad, so neither worked for us. The service agent was very helpful and said we’d get a refund for the two days.

You can walk straight to the river from this really beautiful park, and it’s surrounded by nature. The staff have been lovely to us, too. There aren’t sewer hookups, but you can pay to have someone pump out your tanks or dump them yourself for free.

We spent a lot of time at the river during our three weeks here in October. It’s right on the property, though none of the sites seem to be directly beside it because of the elevation. You can get there by a short road or by taking the shortcut from the far side of the park. Our site, c71, was a little tight for our 35' Brinkley i294 travel trailer, but getting in and out was easy. It was clean and tree-surrounded, with enough open space for reliable Starlink in the trailer. The park was quiet and quaint in the shoulder season. The back road to Cloverdale is rough, so I wouldn’t take a rig that way. For shopping, it’s better to get back to 101 and head down to Cloverdale. We liked the site, though much of the value for us came from using our TT membership. Staying three weeks made that worthwhile. At the public nightly rate, I think it would have been too expensive.

There’s a great little loop down to the river for rafting, and the river is really close to the site. We had a nice spot.
