Holiday Inn Express & Suites Clovis-Fresno Area by IHG

The staff were friendly, and I felt safe with plenty of parking. The workout room was nice and the equipment worked well. I didn't use the pool or hot tub, though they looked nice. Still, it was a mixed stay. Over my week on the first floor, I saw several roaches or bugs, including one still kicking when I arrived. Sticky traps were under the old wall AC, and the room smelled damp and mildewy. The breakfast wasn't as good as at other locations. The lady did a much better job than the gentleman, but the eggs were soupy and the potatoes were often gone or lukewarm. At least she put out egg and cheese omelets. There's no option to keep the fan running, so the AC clicked on and off all night. Laundry is on site, but there's only one washer and dryer, and they looked rough. Shaw Ave is busy and divided, so expect to make some U-turns.

They told us the bathroom was ADA, but it wasn't. I slipped and fell, and the front desk lady lied, then had the police escort me off the property even though it was her fault. If you're handicapped and use a wheelchair, you don't want to stay here. They don't have handicap rooms for us in wheelchairs. Adriana was rude and lied. I'm very thankful for Sabrina, who helped while I was being escorted out in my wheelchair. She was phenomenal and even tried to find me another hotel with ADA access. I'm only giving three stars because of Sabrina.

Sabrina at the front desk was really nice. The first room had a strange noise and vibration, so when we asked to switch, she came up to check and agreed to change it right away. We stayed two nights while visiting Kings Canyon national Park and enjoyed the stay. The room and beds were comfortable. I'd recommend asking for a room on the side away from Shaw Road, since the road is noisy at night.

This is easily the best Holiday Inn Express I've stayed at. Everything was spotless, the staff were friendly, and the beds were soft. We'll definitely come back when we need a place near Fresno State. Highly recommend!
