Motel 6 Clovis, NM

We'd paid for the room online through booking, but at check-in they tried to charge us for it again. We refused and were turned away, left without anywhere to sleep for the weekend. We had to dispute the charge with the bank. It was a nightmare.

I spent a few days here. My room was upstairs, and for some apparent reason I couldn't get a downstairs one. When I got in, the floor hadn't been swept or mopped and the towels weren't very clean. There was no room service all weekend because they were short staffed, but nobody let me know. It felt like I was the only customer besides the people who live there and work on cars all day and night, which was really odd. This isn't my first bad experience at a Motel 6, but it'll be my last at this one. I wouldn't stay at any Motel 6 again. Hope this helps future travelers, there are other options!

It was fine enough for one night, but I won't return to this Motel 6. Even though they had rooms ready, they wouldn't let us check in before exactly 2 PM. I arrived for my reservation at 12:10 and was told to come back at 2. I didn't like that kind of service.

I barely got settled before I wanted out. The pillows reeked of cigarette smoke and gave me a headache, and the room was filthy: the bed looked like it had been peed on, there were cigarette burns in the blankets, the floor cracked underfoot, and the shower curtain was hanging by a thread. Even the remote was missing its battery cover, so I had to hold the batteries in place. I asked to switch rooms or get a refund and was refused because I smelled of smoke, even though I only smoke about one cigarette a day. I was in there maybe 15 minutes. Never stay here.
