Capital O Parker Motel Clute Jackson Tx 332

I didn't feel safe and didn't stay the night. When we arrived, a man was overdosing by the entrance and three men were shooting up outside our door, while the front desk woman stood nearby watching. There were homeless people everywhere. We paid $236 at Parker, then spent another $150 to get a safer hotel. The room itself was disgusting, with roaches, both dead and alive, curtains pinned up with plastic tacks, and a strong smell of someone having just smoked. I told the woman at the desk, and she told me to go away. She was hateful and dismissive and couldn't have cared less about customers. When I tried to cancel and get my money back, she said it wasn't her problem. OYO called for a quality review. They apologized and said they'd transfer me to refunds, but after the person said he'd put me on hold briefly to look up my stay, I waited 20 minutes and the call dropped. Calls back have also disconnected. This is a terrible, racist, hateful company that doesn't care about its customers. Stay far away from this drug den. They took money I could have used for food and bills and didn't care about the bad service.

I hardly slept and never felt safe in the room. There was loud fighting on and off all the time next door, so loud it sounded like the people were in my room. I worried about what might happen after police left if it became clear I'd called, so I didn't call them. The office was unattended whenever I went back, including after dark, around 7 pm, and again the next morning. A sign said to go to room 19 for help, but nobody answered there, so I left my keycard in my room. Once I checked in, I never saw anyone at the lobby counter. There were only about 40 units, maybe 15 occupied, and I seemed to be the only short-term guest. Some people seemed to be long-term residents who knew one another, going to certain rooms briefly and then back to their own. Cars also kept coming into the enclosed motel, visiting rooms on the north side for a short time, then leaving. I think law enforcement should be told about the apparent activity there. The enclosed square layout may be why all that foot traffic isn't visible from the street. My room was missing toilet paper, so I used the emergency roll from my car. There were just two towels and no soap. The TV remote didn't match the TV. I made several calls to Oyo and booking, but got no help.

At 5 pm, the room I was given wasn't ready. It had no pillowcases, towels, or washcloths. Wall lights had bare wires and worked only by plugging them in and unplugging them, since the switch didn't work. Tiles were missing from the wall.

Under the new management, Miss Heena has been so kind and helpful. The customer service is lovely, the rooms look great, and it's a really nice place to stay.
