The steak was the best part of our visit, juicy and cooked beautifully, truly 10/10. We like stopping at Harris Ranch on family trips, so I hope they can get the rest of the experience closer to the food’s quality. We got there around 9:00 PM, ordered at about 9:20, and didn’t get our meal until around 10:10. A table seated roughly 15 minutes after us had soup, salad, and entrées before ours arrived. At first we sat about 20 minutes without water or anyone checking in. There were staff nearby, some working and some chatting, and we had to ask if someone could take our order. One employee sent us to another person, who then sent us back. Danny was kind when he took our order, and Kristina later stepped in with friendly, attentive service. I work as a server and bartender, so I know teamwork and communication matter. I don’t blame the individual staff; it felt more like a coordination or management problem. With steaks priced around $60-$70, guests expect service to match, and even a quick greeting and water would help. I’m sharing this respectfully in hopes it helps improve things for future guests.

The RV sites are level pull-throughs with full hookups, and the landscaping and bathroom facilities are lovely. The showers have a bench for toiletries, but nowhere to hang things, and it takes a few minutes for the water to heat up. I was surprised there wasn’t a hot water circulation pump to cut down on water waste. When we first arrived, everything seemed great. After dinner at the restaurant, though, we could smell the cattle yards. It was just warm enough that we needed a window open in the trailer. We slept fine, but I can imagine the odor getting overwhelming at other times. The amenities are wonderful, but for us this would only be a one-night stop.

The barbecue from the convenience store is delicious, and the pastries are out of this world. The food is good, and if the price works for you, it’s worth a stop. There can be a strong cattle smell drifting over, often, but, well, there are cows here. For about five years we’d pull in during a northbound or southbound trip, eat, sleep, and pick up pastries in the morning. That routine was perfect. This time we stayed at the new RV park because we were tired and hungry, but it’ll probably be our last visit. Dry camping was over $50, and hookups cost more than $100 after fees and taxes. That’s too much for people just passing through. Thanks for the past five years, Harris Ranch. We’ll miss you 🙂

We always enjoy stopping here on our way to Oregon. After a great steak dinner, the pool and hot tubs are just right for relaxing. Now that the RV Park is open, we’ll pick up some beef from the on-site butcher for the trip.

We’ve had lunch at Harris Ranch restaurant twice, though we haven’t stayed at the resort. Both visits were easy, with no long wait, and the staff were friendly and hospitable. The food was tasty, too. We ordered the rib eye and filet mignon, and both came out fresh and cooked to the temperatures we asked for. I’d recommend checking it out.
