Comfort Inn & Suites Miami International Airport

For an overnight stay before a cruise, the hotel worked well. The amenities met expectations, the staff were friendly and helpful with information, and there’s a free shuttle to the cruise terminal. Just be wary of the person arranging the shuttle. He pushed us to buy a return ride from the cruise terminal to the airport, quoted three times the usual price, and claimed Uber or Lyft would cost a lot or wouldn’t be available. Don’t take that at face value. We booked Uber normally when we arrived and paid about $40 for our family of four.

The bathroom was nice, and the mattress was decent. The walls are a bit thin, though, and I could hear people coughing. It’s a basic hotel and room, but it suited us as a place to stay before our cruise. Breakfast was just okay. The best part was the complimentary shuttle from the airport to the hotel and from the hotel to Miami cruise port.

We came back through the hotel twice last week, once flying in for a cruise and again on our way home. Miami airport hotels were overbooked because weather had caused several flight cancellations. The staff seemed under a lot of pressure, but we thought they handled it well. Our room was clean, and the one shuttle ride we took was fine. The staff also suggested things to do and places to eat. Roberta deserves a special mention for being especially kind and helpful. Stay warm, everyone.

The hotel is shabby, and I wouldn’t stay there again. We chose it for the shuttle and convenience, but using the shuttle was difficult. They hung up on me twice, and we waited more than 40 minutes. The cruise terminal shuttle had so little availability that everyone in my group ended up taking an Uber. I wouldn’t recommend this place.
