Super 8 by Wyndham Cobleskill NY

We've stayed here before because it's pet friendly, and the staff were amazing. Everything was good, though the room was just okay and could use updating. The people above us were very loud, getting up at 3:00 in the morning and taking an hour to get ready for work. With our two dogs, I was awake from 3:00 until we left at 7:00 in the morning. That's not the hotel's fault, it just happens.

There isn't an elevator, so expect to carry your things up the stairs, and the breakfast was very limited. I was traveling on a budget, and the $55 hotel I stayed at was much better than this place costing over $100. My first room was filthy, with dog hair everywhere and a really dirty, gross toilet. The toilet seat was loose and falling off, and an electrical outlet didn't work. The second room was a little dirty too, but it was too late at night to switch hotels. Avoid it unless you have to stay here.

The tub had tape on it, which made me nervous about taking a bath. Breakfast was minimal and all carbs. Still, the room was better than some Super 8 motels, the heater worked well, and there was a cool pool table in the lobby.

There isn't really anywhere else in Cobleskill to stay near things, and this spot is between Walmart and Price Chopper, so at least you're near civilization. I'd recommend it. The place was very clean, the staff friendly, and the bathrooms nice and clean too. The bed was comfortable and the television worked well, with lots of channels. Breakfast was typical toast, cereal and the like, but there were plenty of choices. As someone who often stays at places with free breakfast, this was much nicer than getting yogurt in a bag, though it's not a big diner spread.
