Beartooth Inn

For a single night with my two dogs, the room was reasonably priced and seemed clean enough. The staff were friendly, and it didn’t feel sketchy, but the place isn’t very accessible, with no handicap doors or elevator. The hallway had several dark stains, the hot tub and sauna weren’t working, and the ice machine either didn’t work or had no ice when I arrived. It also seemed to be missing quite a few of the advertised amenities.

The room was clean, the staff pleasant, and it was a good spot for one night. It’s a basic, quiet motel, though the place has clearly been well used and shows wear, even if everything worked. Being picky, I found the room lighting dim, and the hot tub was out of service. After a day on the road, a soak would’ve felt good on my old back.

The manager and front desk staff were great, and I liked the location, with a nice park out front. But something about the room didn’t seem healthy. By day three my eyes were swollen, my chest was congested, and I was really tired. I’ve had health problems in moldy places before, so I know when the air doesn’t feel clean. The rooms don’t smell good. I would’ve stayed a few more days, but I felt ill and moved to another hotel down the street. Such a bummer.

The room was dirty, and the breakfast was the worst I’ve had at a hotel. The manager was rude and accused us of lying when we said there were no bath mats in our room. It wasn’t even a big deal to us, but they made it into a much bigger issue. The staff were great, but the people running this property shouldn’t be in hospitality. Stay away.
