Four Points by Sheraton College Station

Check-in went smoothly, and both the room and bathroom were clean. But I couldn’t get past how old and discolored the bedding and towels were. I asked housekeeping nicely to change them, and the replacements looked much the same. The sheets were brownish, and I couldn’t remember when they’d last been white. The location is great, but this didn’t feel like the usual Marriott standard. Breakfast was mediocre at best, and they ran out of bread and other items mid-service without replacing them. I’ll try another hotel next time.

The hot breakfast was a nice change, with a good choice of meats and egg styles. We had a deluxe room with a fold-out sofa bed, and the sleeping setup worked out great. The only thing that bothered me was the restroom tile, which gets very slippery when wet. Thanks for a great stay.

I’m on tour and sleep in a different hotel every night, so I’ve seen plenty of front desks. The young women here were the friendliest I’ve had. They treated guests like friends and went out of their way to help make the stay as good as possible. The hotel itself isn’t fancy, but the rooms are simple, clean, and comfortable. Highly recommend.

The pool was big and clean, and our first-floor window, which was a sliding door facing it, stayed locked and wouldn’t open. With our 3-year-old son along, that made me feel safe, though it would’ve been nice to open it. The room was clean, the restroom had lots of space, and the water pressure was just right for me. The location was perfect, with lots of stores nearby. I’ve stayed at several hotels in College Station, and Four Points was my favorite. After checkout, we realized we’d left a phone behind. We called, and they said the room hadn’t been cleaned yet but that we could stop by and look. It took us less than five minutes to get there, and my husband saw them already bringing the phone to the front desk.
