The room was clean and the stay had been going well, but around 11:30 PM a loud group started making noise in the lobby. I reported it to the front desk, where a kind young man said other guests had already complained and that he’d informed the manager. Victoria Perez apparently felt nothing could be done, then left for the night to get sleep while guests on the first floor went without it. After years of staying here, I’m very disappointed and won’t be back. Choosing to protect a bunch of drunks over the guests who came to stay was a terrible decision.
6/10
The hotel was clean and comfortable for an overnight stay, and the staff made it easy to arrange shipping after I left a bag behind. They kept my belongings and sent the bag quickly at a reasonable cost, which I appreciated. But several personal items were missing when it arrived. They were replaceable, thankfully, but I hope the hotel makes sure guests’ belongings are handled properly in the future.

I’ve stayed here several times and always get a warm welcome. Housekeeping keeps the rooms clean and stocked, and the whole property is immaculate. There’s an outdoor pool, plus a mall and plenty of restaurants nearby. Great place to stay.
4/10
The coffee was awful, just instant from a machine, with no brewed option. The rooms and lobby were clean, though. What really stood out was the price: in Austin and Houston this chain charged under $90 a night, while College Station North was $229 per night plus taxes. That’s triple the usual rate.
6/10
We were in town for a softball tournament. The service at this La Quinta was top tier, but there was an unpleasant smell in the rooms. Two other families on our team noticed it too, and one had to switch rooms because of it. Hopefully they take care of the problem soon.
