Best Western Plus Chena River Lodge

One of the front desk women was extremely helpful and did her best to accommodate us, and the coffee machine was good. The rest was a rough stay. Our rooms smelled like old play dough, and after switching rooms twice, neither one had AC. The temperature never dropped below 79°F. The internet was painfully slow, even by Alaskan standards, and kept cutting out. Breakfast was the same every day, and some of the food wasn't fully cooked.

The bed was soft and comfortable, but the room wasn't very clean, especially the mirror. The eating area and floors were dirty too, and the front desk wasn't very friendly. They also advertise a shuttle that they no longer have. I wouldn't recommend this place.

The room was okay, and thank goodness the bed was clean, but the air conditioning barely worked and there was still a stench in the room. The whole place smelled really bad and musty. Carpets, lobby floor, and laundry room were dirty. Front desk staff seemed indifferent at best. This was the worst Best Western I've stayed in, and I was very disappointed. Luckily our itinerary meant we didn't have to spend much time there.

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable, though there was a slight musty smell that wasn't out of the ordinary. Front desk staff were indifferent, as someone else mentioned. It wasn't a bad stay, but I've had better. The lack of an airport shuttle was disappointing given how close the hotel is to the airport. A few tweaks could make this place great.
