Rodeway Inn

The bed was comfortable, and the front desk attendant was very nice, but the room needs some care. Whatever they used to clean left white crumbs all over the chair, phone, and lamps. It felt creepy. The fridge and microwave were rickety, and there wasn't even a coffee maker. That would've been nice, especially since they don't serve breakfast. It wouldn't take much to improve the place. With the rest of the room making me uneasy, I even wondered whether the bed was clean.

The bugs were a problem, though they weren't bedbugs. There were a ton of other kinds. I stayed a week, then checked out the day after the manager screamed at me for not answering his call while I was at the hospital. My room was already paid for when I came back to renew, but I was done after that. He was the rudest, most hateful manager I've ever dealt with, disrespectful and miserable, and I think he was scamming me. At checkout I asked him to inspect the room with me so I could get my deposit back. He refused at first, then agreed, but wouldn't let me come along. The room was cleaner than when I got it, but he claimed dirty towels meant I wouldn't get my deposit. That was a lie: I always give all the laundry to housekeeping when I check out. Beware, they ask for a deposit and you won't get it back.

The lobby was really clean and the breakfast area was nice. This is the cleanest Days Inn I've visited in a while. I like the exterior-door setup when I'm towing my trailer, and the front desk attendant was very nice and efficient.

The quiet and the location were good, and they changed the sheets when I asked. But the room wasn't clean, so I bleached everything myself. Old food or something was coming out of the orange chair. The door wasn't sealed along the bottom, which let cold air into the room.
