Days Inn by Wyndham Florence Near Civic Center

The faucets were so loose that both the shower handle and sink handle fell off. There were stains on the wall and light switches, dirt behind the sink faucet, and long hairs on the ice bucket lid and the wall. The plastic liner in the ice bucket was dirty, and the ironing board was worn and dirty. The fridge, TV, floor lamp, nightstand lamp, and wall mirror were all wonky. There was also a weird smell in the room. Priceline showed this motel as 2.5 stars and Google as 3 stars, but there's no way it deserves either rating. I usually leave a tip for the maids, but not here. They clearly did a poor job cleaning the rooms. This was one of the worst motels I've stayed in. I've had nicer stays at 2-star places like Super 8, Motel 6, and Red Roof Inn, and some 2.5-star hotels I've tried were actually quite nice, almost like 3-star places.

Never again. There were roaches in the rooms, the phones weren't connected, and the Wi-Fi kept cutting out. The front desk wasn't helpful when we told her. She just said, "Okay," and we had to ask to be moved, which should've been the obvious offer.

The front desk woman was unbelievably rude to a young woman who'd been stranded by a bus and was fumbling for her ID. Even after the young woman paid for a room, the desk worker told her she couldn't stay. That's unprofessional and unkind, and it was a terrible reflection on Days Inn. It drove me to stay at another hotel. Avoid this place.

Don't stay here. I stayed Tuesday, Dec 16, 2025, in room #307, and these are the specifics. Linda at the front desk told me to bring down my dirty towels so she could count them before giving me clean ones. I had to go upstairs, carry them down to her, then head back up again. When the TV remote stopped working, she said I had to bring it down for a replacement. I told her I was already in bed. Linda said, "Im not doing anything wrong!" I went down anyway, but the replacement didn't work, so I had to go back downstairs in my pajamas for a third remote. Then a strong weed smell suddenly came through the heater. I called down, and Linda said she was coming up, but never did. The TV screen had black lines on several channels, some channels were very blurry, and some shows appeared tiny, as if they were playing inside a 19-inch screen on a 40-inch TV. The hallway carpet was filthy and looked like it should've been replaced ten years ago.
