Hampton Inn Memphis/Collierville

The rooms were clean, though a little dated, breakfast had good options, and the hotel is close to shopping, dining, and the Collierville Town Square. The staff were friendly and professional. I hadn’t realized a soccer team would be there during my weekend stay. Kids were running through the halls and knocking on doors, and when I asked for help, I saw many parents gathered in the lobby drinking and socializing. Claudia apologized and dealt with my concerns promptly. She said several guests had complained and spoke with the parents, but they dismissed her. Since I was on the first floor, she explained she’d need to close the lobby so guests could have a peaceful night. One parent started cursing, name calling, and belittling her until she had to call police. Even after being treated that way, she let him stay on the property. That showed real professionalism. Shame on the adults who let their kids run amok while other guests were trying to rest. The staff handled a tough situation patiently and gracefully, and deserve recognition and a raise. I’ll definitely be back.

I’ve stayed at this Hampton several times over the last 2 years and loved it. The building and rooms were clean, quiet, and secure. Every front desk staff member, whatever the shift, was friendly, polite, and professional. The woman who prepares the hot breakfast works tirelessly and does a great job.

It was clean, and that’s the only reason I’d give it more than one star. The rooms are massively dated, the shower head is much too low, and housekeeping knocked at 8:15 a.m. even though checkout isn’t until noon. Breakfast was depressing. For over $200 for one night, I expected more.

My family stayed at the Collierville Hampton Inn for my Father’s funeral. The hotel was clean, the staff friendly and helpful, and breakfast was delicious. Between the funeral Mass and the Veteran burial, we unexpectedly had extra time, and the staff let 10 of us sit in the lobby with water and coffee. Then the Assistant manager brought out fresh, warm chocolate chip cookies. Her kindness touched us all.
