Comfort Inn Collinsville near St. Louis

Ray at the Colinsville front desk deserves a shout-out. He had a great personality and made us feel right at home. The rooms were very clean, the beds comfortable, and the staff professional and helpful. They had everything we’ve seen at expensive hotels, and more. We were impressed the whole time and will definitely be back. Thank you.

We had to stop at the last minute because I couldn’t drive any farther, and I’m glad we did. The room was nice and clean, and breakfast had plenty of choices, including meat and potatoes for someone like me. The breakfast attendant was really nice, and the front desk was amazing from check-in to check-out. Even the manager asked how my day was while I was eating. I make my own choices instead of relying on reviews, since so many aren’t great, and I definitely enjoyed this hotel. I’d recommend it. Good job, Comfort Inn in Collinsville.

We were in town for a volleyball tournament and had stayed here once before without a problem. This time, other guests ignored quiet time. At 12:38 AM, I woke to yelling and furniture being moved or thrown around by people right above us on the third floor. I couldn’t tell if it was a domestic dispute or something worse. I didn’t call the front desk or go downstairs because I was trying to get back to sleep. My daughter and I reported several things the next morning, and others in our group were upset about the noise too. GM Anne Smith didn’t seem to want to hear it. She said I should have called the front desk or 911. She raised her hand or finger and told my daughter to let her talk. She later wrote in her review response that she wasn’t rude, but she was. She wasn’t as bad with me, and she’s the one answering the bad reviews. Anne, don’t bother replying to this one. You know what happened and how you acted. After reading almost every review, I do think you may have something of an attitude issue, and that’s okay. But don’t imply my daughter was lying in her review. I don’t think all those other people were lying either. Rant over!

The room was clean and didn’t smell, which made sense since we had a non-smoking room. Coffee was watered down, and breakfast was nice except for the disappointing sausage. I liked being able to add a few hours for $15 an hour. On Monday morning, I saw that the hotel had tried to charge my card three times, for a total of $103. They hadn’t emailed me to say they would do that. Luckily there was no money on the card, or I might not have noticed. Be careful which card you use and make sure it has fraud protection. The hotel says it sees no charges on my account. Hmmm, suspicious.
