Riverview Inn - Colonial Beach

Kelly deserves kudos for all the work she put into the special touches in every room, and each one has its own theme. Shirley was smiling and gave us our own behind-the-scenes tour, which made the time there even better. Thanks ❤️ for a great visit. It’s those little details that will bring people back. Be sure to try the local seafood, and there are some amazing house bands at the restaurants. The Fourth of July is already booked, but food trucks, vendor fairs, romantic getaways, family reunions, and class reunions are coming up, with lots of summer still left. Fall smells and cooler weather will be wonderful too, and Riverview Inn will be ready for you!

Sweet Ms. Shirley is a phenomenal hostess, and the hospitality and experience were incredible. Colonial Beach and the Riverview Inn are Virginia’s best kept secret. I’d give it 100 stars if I could!

The rooms were beautiful, and the care and attention to detail really stood out. We were also close to both the water and town. My friends and I came for an overnight gig, and I was so pleased with the stay. When you visit Colonial Beach, stay at the Riverview Inn!

The room was sparkly clean, the bedding was extremely comfortable, and they provided plenty of in-room extras: shampoo, water, robes, slippers, cushions, and extra blankets. The decor has charm, and while there were a few scuffs and dents, that didn’t bother me because I could tell the staff cared. The whole place has a beautiful vibe and great energy, with a small continental breakfast of basic coffee, teas, juices, and lots of different breakfast bars. I’d love to come back someday. The location is perfect, right at the end of the beach boardwalk, with the fishing pier one block down. There’s street parking and a designated area a block over. The issue was a couple of drunken guests screeching and cackling in the courtyard for half the night. I always bring earplugs, so it wasn’t a big deal, and it wasn’t the hotel’s fault that some people had become rude, preoccupied, self-serving pissants. Once it got dark enough, I wanted a picture of the hotel’s giant neon sign, but it doesn’t light up all the way. I hope they fix it, since it would look really cool and better show off the magnificence of the Riverview Hotel.
