Rodeway Inn Colonial Heights I-95

I won't be coming back. The place was dirty and noisy, especially Friday and Saturday nights, when lots of guys played music and drank beer. Be careful those nights. There are a lot of drug users around, and I saw a room left open for them on the 2nd floor. I killed 7 roaches, the floor was disgusting, the shower never got hot, and the remotes had no batteries. The bed was hard, and there is NO Breakfast, though I wouldn't trust it anyway. I see some 5 star reviews, but they must be staff, those reviews are LIES!!!! This place needs to be shut down ASAP!!!! 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽😡 THE MANIFESTATION OF GROTESQERIE!!!! I stayed here for 4 days and it was absolutely horrible.

The only part of this stay I could appreciate was the night desk clerk. They stayed past 11pm after the registration desk had closed so they could help us when we arrived shortly after midnight. The online booking never mentioned that the desk would be closed, and I should have paid attention when the clerk said they'd stay until I had seen the room and felt comfortable with it. Our room was in the rear building, on the second floor facing the pool. Rooms along the whole floor were at different stages of renovation, and none of those doors were secured. I wouldn't stay in a place like that alone, much less with my 3 year old grandson. I understand Rodeway is a budget hotel, but these accommodations were far too poor to accept. Pay extra and stay ANYWHERE else.

For 40$, it feels like a steal. The rooms are clean and spacious, with double beds and smoking rooms available. It's pretty quiet outside, and there's supposed to be complimentary breakfast in the morning.

The people outside made me feel unsafe, like they could have come straight from a mugshot lineup. Inside, roaches were crawling across the floor as soon as I entered, and the place smelled of filth and dog piss. There was even literal dog poop in the hallway. Not joking. Absolutely DISGUSTING. This is a health hazard and should be condemned. If you want to get robbed, catch a disease, or step in feces, this is the spot for you. It's a joke. Burn it down and start over. Stay away unless you hate yourself.
