Best Western Plus Lonestar Inn & Suites

The GPS sent us 15 miles into a scary part of Colorado City, so check with the hotel before entering the directions. The stay itself was great: a new, nice Best Western with comfortable beds and a king suite sitting area. There was a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker, plus a very good breakfast.

For a small town, this is the place to stay in C-City. I’m old and cranky, so this is an honest review. The staff are nice, the rooms are actually clean, and the morning breakfast is awesome. There’s a small store downstairs, and the room has the amenities you need. The beds aren’t the softest, but they’re fair and I sleep well. They have proper blankets and sheets, so I don’t freeze when the A/C is running, even when it’s set low, say 68°. The TV has good channels, but I can’t hear it well, and I can’t see the words or options on screen. There’s no closed captioning, and the volume is too low for me. This is way, way better than the Chaquinta down the road. I hope I didn’t misspell that.

A friendly, clean place in a nice location, and a good quick stop to catch some sleep before getting back on the road. The breakfast was just okay. Otherwise, I’d definitely recommend it.

The hotel was clean and nice, and the bed was so comfortable.
