Timber Lodge Cabins 22

We liked the budget friendly price, the kitchenette, and being close to restaurants and nice views. The room was small but worked well for two, and we enjoyed the porch and self check in. We spotted a few deer and liked the little creek. I’d expected somewhere more remote, though it was in the city, which was fine. There were several problems with the room. It wasn’t very clean, the TV wouldn’t work, and the only light in room #27 flickered constantly, so we relied on the bathroom light and a small bedside lamp. We had trouble keeping the AC on, though luckily it wasn’t too hot. The gate was sometimes open, but that turned out fine. The shower had no soap despite the listing, so I was glad we brought our own. There were white looking stains on the futon. For the price, it was still worth it, but they need to fix the maintenance issues and clean more thoroughly.

I’ve been here almost two weeks while looking for a home, after staying at a few other hotels, and I’m really impressed. The grounds and cabins are well cared for, and you can tell the owners take pride in the business. It’s close to the shops, and the cabins have a cozy mountain feel with modern touches. Cleanliness matters a lot to me, and this place has been very clean. The creek between the cabins and the road helps keep traffic noise from being noticeable. I’d highly recommend staying here.

I’ve never felt this at ease in a hotel before. We spent a week here in early March while in the middle of moving, and the cabins felt like a peaceful little break. They’re cozy, clean, and have that mountain-cabin feel right in town. The staff were friendly, and the courtyard has grills, patio furniture, a pool, and a playground. I can imagine it working really well for family reunions or similar summer get-togethers. There is some traffic noise from Manitou Ave on one side and Highway 24 on the other, but the rest of the stay was delightful.

Timber Lodge was clean, cozy, and nicely maintained. We had a great time and would come back.
