Wigwam Motel Route 66

The room was clean, the stay was easy and convenient, and the price felt very fair. My deposit refund came through without any trouble. Samir at the front was friendly and helpful. It gets a little chilly inside overnight even with the heat set to 80, especially on the bathroom tile, so bring slippers. There's no exterior building protection, and the area feels a bit sketchy. It's also far from the beach.

The teepees were cozy, and they let us bring our cats. We also found cool things in the gift shop. My wife and I picked a rainy day for our visit, but it was still really cool to check another historic Route 66 motel off our bucket list. We'll definitely come back someday when it's sunny.

The grounds are carefully manicured, and it's clear the owners have put a lot of money into keeping this historic place in good shape. The owners are really friendly, too. Our room was very clean and much more spacious than it looks from outside. It was such a fun place to spend a night. At sunset, sit in the poolside patio chairs and relax beneath the palm trees and golden skies. The gift shop has plenty of fun souvenirs and photos of the hotel through the decades.

We only got one night here during our Route 66 road trip, but it was really worth staying. The man at the desk was friendly and helpful, and there's a small gift shop with memorabilia.
