-------THIS PLACE IS UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT-------- The new manager is great, and her staff is well rounded. DANNY the handyman is really talented. I'm not very handy, and he helped me and my boys tighten our car hitch. It was a small thing that made a huge difference. That kindness showed me this place has something my usual four star spots don't: relatability. Some people live here and are down on their luck, just trying to keep a place for their kids to sleep. The place is filthy, and they're looking into it, but it's a humble setting that can make you reflect. As a family employed by the government, we were worried there might be another shutdown. I respectfully raised my concerns with corporate, who are regulating the property into shape on site, and got support right away. I'm sharing this for professionals and nomadic people who need somewhere to stay while taking care of life's tasks for a while. I have a lot of respect for the staff and feel grateful for the reminder of my humble beginnings. There are lots of good people here. Maybe someday they'll have fixed rates and a pool.

This is the worst place I've ever stayed. The hotel stinks badly, and there's a weed smell everywhere. We had to take our own trash out, nobody cleaned the room, and there were no towels. The towels we did get were heavily stained. There were cockroaches in the room and the water faucet was broken. In the room next door, the same family had big blood stains on their bed.

The room was clean and a great price, but there's a lot of highway noise inside. All the EV charging spaces were occupied by gas vehicles, and the staff didn't seem interested in dealing with it. The clerk said I could use the spot where her gas car was parked after her shift. The hotel sets the charger at $6 an hour at night and $10 an hour after 4:23 am, which made it twice as expensive as anywhere else I've charged.

I couldn't give zero stars, so here's one. The receptionist was rude and unprofessional. After driving for hours, my family and I weren't allowed to check in because my 17 year old son didn't have ID. Bring ID if you're planning to stay here with anyone that age, and good job making sure people know about that. Horrible service, 0/10. I won't return.

The staff were friendly, and Aaron made check-in easy and found me a room for the night. The location was good, the rate was fair, and WoodSpring Suite is part of Choice Hotels, so remember the rewards program. From the property and the gravel lot out front, it looks like there might be semi truck parking. It was my first stay at a WoodSpring Suite, so I didn't know about them before this visit. The room was clean, though there were a few scratches on the walls, a crack in the center of the bathroom door, and the access door for the AC controls was broken. The decor felt a bit outdated, but that didn't really bother me. My main complaint is the noise: from my south facing room toward Interstate 10, I could hear everything outside. If you're a light sleeper, ask for a room on the north side of the property.
