Blisspoint Inn Columbia City

I was there around Christmas 2025, and it was a terrible experience. The first room smelled awful, so I asked to switch. I only noticed the stains all over the next room’s sheets when I was getting ready for bed. At 9 the next morning, I asked to cancel the remaining nights and said I’d pay for the night I’d already stayed. The front desk agreed and told me to contact booking.com. Booking.com then said the manager still planned to charge me for the rest of the stay, even though the hotel was basically empty. I’ve called and emailed without getting a response. If they don’t refund me, I’ll keep posting negative reviews, dispute the charge with my credit card company, and contact the BBB.

I felt unsafe as a woman checking in alone. The hostess asked who would be in my room that night. When I said the question made me uncomfortable, she insisted she had to ask and said I could bring my husband but not other people. The motel itself has also gone badly downhill. The back door doesn’t need a key or card to get in, and there was a crack above the card reader on my room door. The room was grimy, hairs were in all the towels, there were no tissues, and the toilet paper was very thin Amazon paper.

I checked in just after 2 a.m. on Sunday while traveling late, and they charged me for two full nights. When my travel plans got messed up, I asked for a couple more hours, but was told I could stay only until 1 p.m. for another $20. I don’t travel often, but I’ve never had this kind of treatment. $110 for a night and a half, and they still wouldn’t give me an extra hour or two without charging more, even though plenty of rooms were empty. A cat meowed all night too. I won’t stay there again.

The room and beds were okay, and the pillows were comfy. The rest was frustrating: they took a deposit they said would be refunded, but it never was. Staff kept knocking and waiting outside our door hours before checkout to ask if we were leaving. Breakfast supposedly runs until 9, but when we showed up at 8:30, it had already been shut down.
