I left after just 27 minutes and reported the stay to Booking.com, sending the same photos I posted. They gave me an $11.60 credit, which was better than nothing. I booked through the site and arrived right at check-in. In the first room, the TV didn't work and there was no microwave or refrigerator. The front desk man offered to send maintenance to look at the TV, but I was alone and didn't feel comfortable with that, so I asked to switch rooms. He said some rooms have microwaves and some don't. The second room felt muggy, smelled odd, and had lots of damage. When I returned the keys, the attendant asked if I hadn't liked that room either. I showed him a few pictures, and he said the rooms were older and that this was standard for all of them. I last stayed here about ten years ago, and it's gone way downhill. It's a slum, and I don't even want to know what was around the floorboards. Buyer beware.

After traveling through several states over the holidays, I stopped at Baymont Inn. The bathroom smelled so clean when I walked in that I felt sure I'd be happy with the stay, and I was right. The room was spacious and very clean, with all the amenities. Five stars all around. I'd definitely recommend it to military visitors.

We only stayed overnight, but it was a terrible experience. There was no ice on the third floor, barely any on the second, and none on the first. I killed one bug in the bathroom, then found and killed three more in the morning. The pool was dry and full of leaves. In our room, there was a hole in the floor under the carpet, a broken chair arm, and a missing light bulb that I had to fix. The refrigerator door wouldn't shut. I wouldn't waste time or money here.

The hallways and elevator especially need a thorough cleaning. The hallways reeked of weed, even though the hotel is non-smoking. The room's smoke detector had been removed, with only the wires left behind.

The breakfast is pretty good, and the location works perfectly for me, close to Fort Jackson, I-77, and several other places I need to get to. I've stayed here for months because the staff are so friendly and helpful. They also give me the room I want and keep the rooms very clean.
