Candlewood Suites Columbia by IHG

We’ve been here for a month, and both the hotel and its staff have been great. The rooms are a good size, with kitchenettes, and the property is clean and quiet. It’s also conveniently close to the highway, with Cracker barrel close enough to walk to. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful, especially when you’re looking for a local place to eat.

Being able to cook in the room was a real plus after too many meals out. There are plenty of kitchen items you can borrow, including a crock pot and grill. Just remember to set the stove timer so it will turn on. They also have free coffee, fruit, washers and dryers, plus a good gym. The bed was comfortable, the hotel was very clean, the staff were friendly, and it’s pet friendly. Cracker Barrel is right in front, and there’s a PUBLIX six miles away. We picked up breakfast at the grocery store and brought it back, though the hotel offers coupons to Cracker Barrel. I don’t understand the complaints about breakfast. We had no problems and will be back. Best stay yet, thank you so much!

I was working nearby and stayed here for a few weeks with three guys from my crew. We all had a great stay. The hotel was clean and very nice, and the staff were welcoming. Getting checked into all four rooms went smoothly with no issues. I’d stay here again and recommend it to anyone.

The staff are what make this Candlewood stand out. They greet you whenever you come in, take care of problems promptly, and make you feel like family. Jeanette, the Sales Manager, deserves a special mention for always making sure my stays lived up to expectations. The hotel works well for longer stays, too. It’s set back from the state road and far enough from the interstate that traffic noise isn’t an issue. There’s also a picturesque creek behind the hotel.
