Colonial Inn

The rooms are decent, nothing fancy, but not a crack hotel either. The manager's friendly and you've got the basic necessities. It's a cheap option if money's tight and you just want somewhere decent to get away to. The area isn't great, though, and not because of the people. There are pigs everywhere, the kind you don't eat. If I had another $40, I'd probably go to the Roadway.

I called the manager today to ask if we'd get a refund for the nights we'd paid for but didn't stay. She told me, “Ma'am, every hotel has bed bugs!!” So she knows there are bed bugs and is still renting out the rooms? I'm going to the hospital to have these bites checked. If that's what they are, so help me God. I have a child at home, and bed bugs don't just go away.

Don't believe what they tell you. The walls are infested with roaches.

We'd tried two other hotels in town, and both were extremely rude about the dog. Here, the staff were friendly, the older hotel was clean, and dogs are welcome. Definitely worth the money. I'd recommend a nearby hike at red bluffs.
