Hampton Inn & Suites Lexington Columbia

We’ve decided we won’t stay at this hotel again. We first came on February 7th, checking in around 2am, and had a great experience. The woman at the counter gave excellent customer service, and the room was quiet and clean. Breakfast wasn’t great, but it was good for the room price and the stay. We checked out today, March 1st, after arriving again around 2am on February 28th. This time check-in felt unwelcoming, and the woman seemed bothered and provided poor service. Room 108 was clean, with no cleanliness or smell issues. After such a late check-in, we expected to sleep in, but at 8am loud children started playing in the hallway. They went on for at least an hour, with no adult or staff member correcting them. We gave up on sleep, and even after a break in the day for a nap, children were still playing in the hallway when we returned, so we couldn’t rest. The noise kept happening throughout the day and early the next morning. On the second morning, we were woken by the noise again, then found breakfast mostly out of stock. There was no coffee, eggs, or grits, just a line for waffles, sausage patties, and hot water. We won’t come back to this location when we visit.
