Holiday Inn Express and Suites Columbia Fort Jacks

I've spent about 60 nights a year in hotels and have never been treated like this. Jeremy, the assistant manager, was dismissive when we first called to ask staff to check for a lost item in our room, so we came in to make sure anyone would take the request seriously. At the lobby desk, Jeremy was already speaking loudly and condescendingly to another guest who needed help with accommodations. I waited and gave him the benefit of the doubt. When I asked about the missing item, he said nothing had been reported. I asked whether housekeeping might still be cleaning and the item could be on a cart, but he refused to call them, check, or make any effort to verify. Another staff member overheard and offered to look, which showed that checking was possible. Then Jeremy yelled across the lobby that my “next step” was to file a police report. I asked him three times to stop shouting, but he continued until I left the lobby to get away from the situation. Being screamed at by an assistant manager for asking him to double-check for a lost item was unprofessional, aggressive, and completely out of line. We won't be back.

This has become our usual halfway stop, and our Thanksgiving road trip reminded us why. After a long drive, we found the room clean, spacious, and really comfortable. We arrived after midnight, but the front desk staff welcomed us and made check-in easy. Checkout was quick, and the complimentary breakfast was just right before we got back on the road. We'll stay here again on our way home.

This Home2 Suites Fort Jackson was a pleasure to stay at: incredibly clean, well appointed, and organized, and great for our dog, too. I've stayed in upscale places all over, and honestly this is one of the best run and staffed hotels I've experienced. The care and pride the team takes in the hotel shows throughout the place. Someone was always around working to make things better, and Lia was consistently at the desk helping and managing. I especially want to recognize Lia, Dee, Peggie, and Que, along with everyone there. They deserve kudos for excellent customer service, professionalism, and the positive way the hotel is run. The whole place has such a positive energy. Thank you, Home2 suites at Fort Jackson!

I spent eight weeks here, and it was one of the best hotels I've stayed at while traveling. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. They took time to get to know me and check in on me during my stay. Carina, Peggy, and Heather were especially friendly. Peggy was so kind, asking about my trip, getting to know me, and even asking what I'd like to see at breakfast. Top-tier service. Every hotel should aim for a staff like this.
