The service is why I’m giving this five stars. AKilah greeted me with a pleasant smile when I checked in for a birthday stay with my wife, 30-2/1 2026, then sang an early birthday song after seeing my ID. She sang one for my wife too. She was A1, and the guy working with her was cool. Paula also helped me with food options. The location is great, back in cut, and the bed was great for me even with my hip problem. I got an upgrade, too, and the price was reasonable for what you get. The food was a 4, better than continental, but it could use more egg choices and vegetarian options. The workout room is like a 4.2, though maintenance should check some equipment. The shower head wasn’t good and needs replacing. I saw some young folks there, including one guy taking something from the snack bar at night. I’ll definitely stay again, mainly because of AKilah.

The staff were friendly, and it’s a cute, well-kept hotel where you can get away from the hustle and bustle. It’s centrally located near lots of amenities, from Whole Foods to Olive Garden. The air conditioning was the one problem. We had to change rooms because it was loud and wasn’t warming the room. In the new room it was still loud, and the vent blows straight onto one of the beds. I ended up sleeping on the sofa.

The location right off I-95 makes this a handy place to stop during a long drive. I’ve stayed at Homewood Suites by Hilton Columbia twice for that reason. Both times, the front desk staff were very helpful and accommodating when I checked in. The rooms were spacious, quiet, tidy, and clean.

Mariannna was so polite, helpful, and professional. The Wi-Fi was much faster than at other Homewoods I’ve stayed in, which was a plus. The courtyard is pleasant, and it’s easy to walk from the back to my room. There’s plenty of parking, too. The bed was comfortable, though I wish the pillows held their shape better. Breakfast was great on the first day, especially the quiche.

We had a great stay and the staff were welcoming and friendly. Kruz Patel at the front desk deserves a special mention. He was professional and helpful, and made check-in easy. Great service all around. We’ll be back soon!
