Abbey's Lantern Hill Inn

Erika was a lovely host, and the fresh breakfasts she made were delicious. We’re already looking forward to coming back to Abbey's Lantern Hill Inn and recommending it to friends and family. We only wish we could give it 10 stars! We found this place for a belated Valentine's Day celebration and wanted somewhere quiet and romantic. After seeing the great reviews, we booked the fireplace suite with its two-person jacuzzi tub. It felt warm and inviting, with a very comfortable bed and rustic decor that gave it a cabin-in-the-woods feel while still having some modern charm. We also appreciated the attention to local Native American history.

The owner made us a special breakfast herself, and it was delicious. That personal gesture made the visit especially memorable. From start to finish, the hospitality was excellent. The property was welcoming, clean, and well cared for, with attention to all the details. I had a wonderful stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable place with friendly service. I’ll definitely be back.

I surprised my partner with a birthday trip to Abby’s Lantern Hill Inn in Connecticut. I’d first considered Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun, but this charming place a mile from Foxwoods won me over. The rustic feel, fireplace, and luxurious jetted hot tub were even better than I expected and made the stay feel magical. The rooms were spotless, quaintly decorated for the holidays, and the location worked perfectly. The atmosphere felt intimate and inviting, and my partner loved it too. The attentive hosts made the experience special. I can’t wait to come back this summer.
