Sleep Inn & Suites Columbia

We slept really well, and the room smelled fresh, with no odor at all. Breakfast was tasty, and someone was regularly tidying the eating area, which we appreciated. We came from out of town to see my grandpa in Russell springs for Thanksgiving after a bad experience at a motel there. The phone booking staff were kind, patient, and helpful, and had us booked in about five minutes. The drive to the hotel was around 17-20 minutes. At the front desk, the staff were kind and efficient, and we had a key within two or three minutes of walking in. I’d highly recommend staying here in Columbia or nearby, especially if you’re visiting Russell springs, since I couldn’t find a good place to stay there.

This was my third visit, and every stay has been nice. The room is always clean and comfortable, and the staff greet you with a smile. A wonderful place to stay, and I highly recommend it if you’re in the area.

The air conditioning kept the room nice and cool, and the clean bed was really comfortable. The room itself was clean, too. Breakfast was nice, just not quite as good as at other Sleep Inns we’ve stayed at during this trip. We’d come back if our travels brought us this way and we needed a stop.

The lobby and breakfast area looked gorgeous, but I wish they’d spent the renovation money on the rooms. We paid $150 for a room that looked like an afterthought and wasn’t worth $60. The whole hotel smelled of cigarettes, including the elevators and stairways. When I arrived at 4:30, the front desk clerk was out smoking; I waited ten minutes for him to return, and he never apologized. We were given room 208, the same room someone had reviewed three weeks earlier as smelling of bug spray and having a bed bug. It reeked of bug spray, and the air felt thick and musty. I ran the AC for a while, but it didn’t help. My allergies got really bad within two minutes, and after seeing that earlier review, we decided to leave without a refund. We travel a lot, and this was our most disappointing experience in years. I’ll never stay at another Sleep Inn.
