Columbus Motel

I spent four weeks here on a work trip and was really impressed by how welcoming everyone was. The owner was ready to help whenever I needed something, even when he was busy, and the receptionist greeted me with a smile. They have snacks at the desk and offer coffee, too. The whole place was tidy, with no litter around, and the rooms felt as good as new. It's a quaint little spot with every amenity.

The room was very clean, and the front desk was VERY accommodating. Still, our room clearly wasn't finished. It seemed like management was doing renovations constantly, and there was more putty showing than in Rita Repulsa's tower. The door felt a little sketchy, though I tested it repeatedly and nobody was getting in. Maybe I'll come back in a few years and see how it turns out.

The Columbus Motel had recently been renovated, and for the affordable price I'd happily come back. The owners made me feel like family, and check-in was quick and smooth. I had a delightful stay this week.

We found the price hard to beat, and the location was handy off the highway and close to a Casey’s while still being quiet. The town is small, so the hotel is a bit dated, but our room was clean and comfortable. Staff were thoughtful and kind. We enjoyed staying here while visiting Columbus Junction and would come back.
