Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Columbus/Near Fort Benning

We’ve stayed three times and haven’t had a bad experience. The hotel seems older, so the renovations should be good for it, and the new work looks great. It’s only a few minutes from Bennings main gate, which was really convenient, and it’s affordable. The rooms seem clean. The front desk woman, I think her name is nikki, though I could be wrong, is always there and has great customer service. She tried to get us into a newly renovated room, but its toilet wasn’t working, so we had to move. I’d stay again for the customer service alone.

Everyone was friendly and helpful, and our room was clean, with comfortable beds and plenty of toilet paper, towels, and pillows. The shower had great water pressure. Breakfast was free, but the only hot options were the pancake maker and oatmeal. There were no scrambled eggs, sausage, or other protein apart from boiled eggs. Still, we enjoyed it. The hotel is conveniently close to the highway, though the surrounding area is run-down, with trash and random clothes lying around. Next time we’ll probably stay nearer downtown or around Exit 6, because of the neighborhood, not the hotel. We enjoyed our stay.

The staff were polite and knew their stuff. The rooms were clean, and the property is being renovated in a modern style. There’s a nice pool and gym, plus complimentary breakfast. I’d recommend this location to others.

We had a GREAT stay. They’re remodeling, and we stayed in one of the updated rooms. It was clean, with only a few small finishing details still underway. Big thanks to Missy, the property AGM. I spent over 25 years in the hotel business, and she was one of the best for service and personality. The night auditor was great too, though I didn’t catch her name.
