Olentangy Motor Inn Hotel

The front desk staff were helpful, and breakfast and drinks from crimson cup were good and convenient. The room was clean apart from the floors, and it had what we needed. Our socks got black underneath every time we wore them in the room. We were there for four days and room service never came, even after I asked three times. We had to get our own soap and towels, and garbage piled up in the room and outside in the bins, presumably because other guests were dumping their own trash too. There was also a dead bug behind one of the beds.

The room was comfortable and spotless, and having a fridge, microwave, and large TV made the stay easy. Check-in was quick, and the shower was good too. We were in town for a concert at Ohio Stadium, and the walk from the motor inn was manageable. Great location. We’ll come back when we’re nearby.

The room itself could use more attention: the floors left our feet black after one pass, and the shower mat picked up a lot of dirt the first time it touched the floor. The linens felt thin and scratchy, so slippers and an extra blanket might help. Still, this is a charming, affordable place with an updated space and an easy trip into downtown Columbus. Breakfast was a nice surprise, especially the excellent coffee, and we appreciated the sandwich and coffee voucher. We had a great stay overall, and with better cleaning and a bit more comfort, it could be fantastic.

The room was such a cozy place to ride out the recent snowstorm, and looking out the door or window at the snow was lovely. I also didn’t expect the shower pressure to be so good, and they had nice tangerine shampoo options if you’d forgotten your own. The beds and pillows were incredibly soft. I usually need a firm pillow, so I stacked them to get the support I wanted. Internet was amazing too. I streamed and played Minecraft all night without buffering or lag.
