Springhill Suites By Marriott Columbus West

During a cross-country trip in a January 2026 winter storm, I realized I couldn’t make it home and booked a room here. It was -4 degrees outside, and the manager still wouldn’t let me bring my dogs in. I offered to pay a fee, but he said it wasn’t his problem and that he didn’t care I was a Marriott elite gold member. That’s not a nice way to treat someone in that situation. Springhill suite in Columbia Missouri had let my dogs stay the previous evening, and was the complete opposite. This springhill in Columbia Ohio is run by uncaring, unkind, rude management. I wouldn’t recommend it. Marriott should remove him.

We’d planned to stay at a nearby motel during our road trip, then decided to try somewhere else for a night’s rest. We walked in around 9Pm and were lucky enough to get a room. The staff were kind, the room was pristine, and we finally got a good night’s sleep. Amazing all around, and I’d recommend it!

The hotel is clean and new, but the service was bad enough that I gave it one star. I travel for work and have never had this happen at any hotel brand. On 9/23/2025, after work, I went to the gym. When I got back, I realized I had no towels and went to the desk. The guy working there said housekeeping had locked the door, so he had no towels. I asked if there was one anywhere, maybe in an unoccupied room, and he said no, but I could use a pool or gym towel. He got frustrated with me, even though I’d paid for a hotel and couldn’t get a clean towel. I ended up checking out in the middle of the night and finding somewhere else to stay before a work day.

The breakfast at 6am was nice, and the room was clean and comfortable with a nice TV. I’d stay again. One small suggestion: if you don’t drink coffee, it’d be good to have a couple of tea bags in the room.
