The Commerce Casino & Hotel

Rudy and Abraham at the front desk were amazing. They checked in on us throughout the stay. When we told Rudy the shower was clogged up after my boyfriend used it in our executive room, they upgraded us to a suite, even though I'd already settled in. It was great. The rooms were clean, the location by the outlets was nice, the valet service was amazing, and the spa was nice too. I only wish the pool were nicer. We had an amazing stay and will definitely come back.

The room was large, nice, and clean, and the air conditioners worked great. The rain shower head was the one letdown. It felt more like mist than a proper downpour, so washing thick hair took a long time. The casino was clean and didn't smell of smoke, and the people we spoke with who worked there were friendly. There was just one restaurant, which was disappointing. Pickup food was available, but it was expensive and didn't look like it had much selection. We didn't eat at the restaurant, though we'd heard the steak and eggs were a great value. Sign up for the players club while you're there, since it gets you discounts on food and other things.

Once I arrived, nobody asked to see my ID at the door, despite the staff repeatedly telling me on the phone that everyone entering had to show one. I had to drive back home to get my ID and bank card after forgetting them on my way to the hotel. I'd called because I'd already booked and wanted to ask about accommodations. I live 45 minutes outside San Francisco and was only three hours away from the hotel. I don't know which manager I spoke to, but he was a real piece of work. You need to get the right staff here, because the pissed off ones don't give good service. The hotel itself is nice, and the valet people were dope.

We were three hours from home when my husband realized he'd left his ID and debit card behind. He called the morning manager and asked if the room could go under my name with my card. The manager said yes, then said they'd ID us at the door. My husband asked if they could make an exception since he was of age, but the manager said he could book under my name and still wouldn't be allowed inside without ID. We drove all the way back to get his ID because we were told neither of us would be let in without one. Then, during our three day stay, nobody checked our IDs to enter the hotel. The morning manager was very rude and unprofessional.
