The room itself was filthy: spiders and hair in the bed, mold on the ceiling, stained walls, and cracked tiles. When I asked the front desk for a refund for the second night so we could make other plans, they offered to move us to another room that looked just as bad. We eventually accepted a one-bed room because we were desperate. We’d arrived late to find our reserved two-bed room had been given away, and after walking around nearby hotels with all our luggage while I was seven months pregnant, we returned and took what they had. The woman at reception was rude at first, then softened a little when she realized the cancellation was their mistake, not mine. The breakfast café forgot the bagel I’d ordered early for my daughter before her dance convention. When we came back 20 minutes later, I waited another 10 minutes for a refund while the employee toasted a bagel for someone who’d just arrived. The front desk interactions were unpleasant, and on two occasions staff complained to me, once about her back pain and once about being the only one doing everything. Housekeeping came late on the second day and barely did anything: they made the bed and left a couple of hand towels, but didn’t replace dishes or instant coffee. I was so glad to leave and won’t come back. I’d avoid this place.

Room service went through my belongings, moved things around, and I had personal items stolen. There weren’t any streaming services either. I complained at the front desk as soon as I noticed, but nobody followed up. I was told the manager would call me in the morning, and I never got a call or even an apology. I followed up myself, then saw the reply claiming their employees hadn’t done it. Of course they’d say that. Don’t make me out to be the bad guy here. Just do better.

The staff were really friendly and helpful the whole time, which made for a nice staycation. I took off a star because the water pressure in my room was poor. I also found bottle caps scattered around, so it didn’t feel like the room had been cleaned properly.

The hotel looks dated and run down, so I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it. Check-in was also a letdown. Someone from the back office handled it without knowing the process, had to follow instructions on his phone, and called someone for help. After about 10 minutes, he gave us just one key and no information about the hotel. As a loyal Bonvoy member, I expected someone to follow up afterward, but that never happened.

The rooms were okay, but the beds need replacing. The air conditioners either didn’t work or were very loud. The shower curtain rod was pulling out of the wall, there was water damage near the tub, and the mini-kitchen sink drained slowly. The door jamb looked as if it had been forced open many times.
