Paddler's Lane Retreat

We came to celebrate our birthdays and left feeling properly recharged. The atmosphere was great, and Dan looked after us so well. Robin was traveling, so I didn't get to meet her, but she texted me from Tokyo to make sure Dan would take care of us, even before check-in. Dan really is an international treasure, no joke. There isn't phone service, just WiFi, so be ready to unplug. That was exactly what we needed. I'm 34, and I'd recommend Paddler’s Lane to younger people, groups of friends looking for a break, or anyone wanting a romantic getaway. It's a wonderful retreat in a lot of ways.

The showers had good pressure, not just a trickle, and everything was clean. It’s a distinctive campground with excellent facilities, and the staff were great. A really good place to stay.

We planned on one night but liked it enough to stay for two. The owner was very welcoming, left a note for us, and gave clear directions to the remote cabin. The bed was comfortable, and the AC worked so well it was almost too cold during a hot July. Our pup enjoyed running around the porch, and the cabin is dog friendly. Bring your own food and drinks, though. The kitchen has plenty of pots, pans, and cooking spices. We'd stay again.

The place was tidy throughout, cozy, and the manager was very welcoming. It’s close to OHIOPYLE, Cucumber Falls, Fallingwater, and other attractions. Nearby Confluence, PA has limited dining, but enough options for us. The roads in and out are one lane, though traffic was light. The one drawback was the train tracks beside the driveway. Trains were noisy during the day, but thankfully not at night.
